Terms & conditions

Any quotation by the Designer Blinds is not an offer to sell or to provide Goods. The Company will not be bound by any order unless it has been accepted in writing by a dully authorised salesman of the company. All orders accepted by the company are deemed to include these Terms and Conditions of sale.

Cancellation and Returns

A customer cancels or alters (with the prior written agreement of the Designer Blinds ) an order or any part of any order after the Company has accepted the order, the Company may invoice the customer as a debt due for all costs and expenses reasonably incurred by the Company in relation to the order and its cancellation or alteration including the cost of any materials, labour, tooling or transport. The Designer Blinds does not accept returned Goods. However, it may in its absolute discretion accept the return of Goods in special circumstances with the prior written approval of a dully authorised representative of the Company.


Designer Blinds provides 12 months manufacture warranty from the date of delivery of the goods. The Company does not provide any warranty that the goods are fit and suitable for the purpose for which they are required – where the purchase is made through the internet or website. We will not accept responsibility and misused window blinds.

Terms of Payment

The customer must pay 50% deposit on acceptance of this quotation and the rest 50% payable on when the Goods are received. Designer Blinds reserves the right to require payment for any goods in cash or direct payment before such Goods are dispatched. The customer must not withhold payment of any account by reason of any account query, dispute, set off or technical investigation. The customer agrees to pay the Company’s administration and handling fees in respect of any copies of document required or other processing involved in the conduct of the account.


The customer is responsible for the cost of delivery and the customer must pay the delivery charges. Any date or time quoted for delivery is an estimate only. The company will endeavour to effect delivery at time or times required by the customer. However, failure to do so does not confer on the customer any right to cancel the order or refuse delivery. The Designer Blinds obligation to deliver is discharged upon arrival of the goods at the customer’s nominated delivery destination, nominated Transport Company, nominated agent or the address appearing on the quotation form or given by the customer through an email. If the customer fails or refuses to take delivery of goods, Designer Blinds may charge the customer for any expenses or additional costs incurred by Designer Blinds ad a result of the delay.

Inspection and Claims

The customer must examine the Goods immediately after delivery. The Designer Blinds is not liable for any misdeliever, shortage, defect or damage unless the Company receives details in writing within three days of the date of delivery of the Goods.


The price for any Goods ordered by you will be the price shown on the quotation form or on the website at the time you place your order and will include GST. In addition to the price, a delivery charge may be payable in respect of deliveries made of locations within the New Zealand. Prices are subject to change without notice. Designer Blinds Rights If (a) any amount payable by the customer to Designer Blinds is overdue, or (b) the customer becomes bankrupt, insolvent, has a receiver appointed in respect of all or some of its assets. Designer Blinds has reserves the rights to repossess or dispose of any Goods.

Limitation of Liability

The Designer Blinds will not be liable for any consequential loss or damage of any kind including without limitation any financial loss.

Romalpa Clause

A Romalpa clause in a contract provides that until payment is received, title or ownership of goods sold remain with the Designer Blinds . In other words, buyer must pay in full in order to get ownership. If buyer does not pay, the Designer Blinds can therefore take possession of the goods.

Stock Shortages

If the Goods or the fabric you order are unavailable, we will notify you as soon as possible and suggest a suitable replacement.

Measurements & Fitting

It is your responsibility to thoroughly read the Measuring & Fitting pages accessible from the Designer Blinds website. Designer Blinds will not replace any blinds based on incorrect measurements where guidance & advice has not been followed. The measurement you provide will be used to manufacture your blinds. Designer Blinds will be only responsible if the measurement is carried out by the company.


The customer will be responsible for disposing, at its own cost of materials used in the packaging or delivery of the goods.
